Georgia's Secretary of State has announced the commencement of the 2025 annual registration season. Businesses are required to complete their registration between January 1 and April 1, 2025.

Entities that have already registered for the year and remain in compliance can ignore this notice. Those who filed as part of a multi-year registration should verify their information is current and make necessary amendments if needed.

To maintain active status, businesses are urged to file online at https://ecorp.sos.ga.gov using a credit card. Accepted cards include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and ATM/Debit Cards with Visa or MasterCard logos. Missing the April 1 deadline incurs a $25 late fee and potential administrative dissolution or revocation by the Secretary of State.

The website offers "One Click Annual Registration" for quick payment without changes or login if fees are current. Alternatively, logging into eCorp.sos.ga.gov allows filing with updates and access to previous filings.

Fees are $50 for profit corporations, LLCs, LPs; $30 for nonprofits; $25 for foreign LLPs. Online service charges apply: $5 online or $10 paper filing. Paper submissions require mailing forms with checks or money orders to the Corporations Division in Atlanta by April 1 to avoid penalties.

Unauthorized signers submitting false documents face misdemeanor charges under O.C.G.A. §14-2-129. Assistance is available through guides on https://sos.ga.gov/how-to-guide/how-file-annual-registration or by calling support lines.

The Corporations Division values business cooperation during this period.
