Lowndes County spent $452,617 on women’s collegiate basketball teams in 2023, representing a 6% decrease from the previous year, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

Overall, basketball teams in the county received a total of $923,926, with the women’s team receiving $452,617.

Since 2010, the average sports expenses in Lowndes County have grown 44.5%.
