Wilcox County Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Wilcox County schools, welcoming 496 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53% of them were male, and 47% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 59% of the Wilcox County Elementary School total enrollment.

Among the three schools in Wilcox County, Wilcox County High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 339 students, while Wilcox County Middle School welcomed 275 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Wilcox County Elementary School is part of Wilcox County School District, which generally encompasses schools within Wilcox County, with its main office in Rochelle.

In the previous school year, Wilcox County Elementary School also had the highest number of students among Wilcox County schools.

According to the Georgia Department of Education, over 1.6 million students were enrolled in Georgia's public schools during the 2021-22 school year. The state boasted a diverse and closely distributed student body across grade levels, with roughly 44% of the students in elementary, 24.5% in middle school, and 31.5% in high schools.

The state also registered an ethnically diverse student body, with 34.4% of the students identified as white, 36.5% as Black, 17.1% as Hispanic, and 4.5% as Asian.
