Of all the ethnicities represented in Cook County School District, the most prevalent among the county's students in the 2022-23 school year was white, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Among the 2,879 students attending Cook County schools, 50% were white. African American students were the second most common ethnicity, making up 33% of Cook County student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common ethnicity in Cook County School District, representing 50% of the student body.

In the 2022-23 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the county dropped 1% when compared to the previous year.
