There were 1,543 students enrolled in Irwin County School District in the 2022-23 school year, 0.5% more than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53% of them were male, and 47% were female.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 57% of the Irwin County School District's total enrollment.

Irwin County School District roughly covers three schools within Irwin County and has a main office in Ocilla.

Among the three schools in Irwin County School District, Irwin County Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 667 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Chronic absenteeism in Georgia has declined from its 2022 peak of 25%, but it still remains above pre-pandemic levels (11.8%). In 2024, about 20.7% of all students in the state missed 10% or more of their classes.
