There were 1,868 Hispanic students enrolled in Lowndes County school districts in the 2022-23 school year, 5.4% more than the previous year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Data showed that Lowndes County school districts welcomed 18,231 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 10.2% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the county's school districts.

According to the Georgia Department of Education, over 1.6 million students were enrolled in Georgia's public schools during the 2021-22 school year.
