Which Cook County school saw the biggest enrollment in 2022-23 school year?

Cook High School had the highest enrollment among Cook County schools, welcoming 864 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were female, and 49% were male.

The most represented ethnicity among Cook High School students was white, with 50% of students identifying as such.

Among the four schools in Cook County, Cook County Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 700 students, while Cook Primary School welcomed 685 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Cook High School is part of Cook County School District, which generally encompasses schools within Cook County, with its main office in Adel.

In the previous school year, Cook High School also had the highest number of students among Cook County schools.

According to the Georgia Department of Education, over 1.6 million students were enrolled in Georgia's public schools during the 2021-22 school year. The state boasted a diverse and closely distributed student body across grade levels, with roughly 44% of the students in elementary, 24.5% in middle school, and 31.5% in high schools.

The state also registered an ethnically diverse student body, with 34.4% of the students identified as white, 36.5% as Black, 17.1% as Hispanic, and 4.5% as Asian.
