Of all the ethnicities represented in Thomas County School Districts, the most prevalent among the county's students in the 2022-23 school year was white, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Among the 7,987 students attending Thomas County schools, 47.7% were white. African American students were the second most common ethnicity, making up 42.2% of Thomas County student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common ethnicity in Thomas County School Districts, representing 47.4% of the student body.

Thomas County School District had the most even distribution of races among county school districts, which included 54% of white students, 34% of African American students, 7% of Hispanic students, and 1% of Asian students.

In the 2022-23 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the county increased 0.4% when compared to the previous year.

The main offices of all districts mentioned in the story are located in cities associated with Thomas County.
