Of the 17,188 citizens living in Cook County in 2021, 74.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 12,801 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 6,085 were male, constituting 47.5%, and 6,716 were female, making up 52.5%.
