75.5% of Berrien County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 18,195 citizens living in Berrien County in 2021, 75.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 13,742 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 6,750 were male, constituting 49.1%, and 6,992 were female, making up 50.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Berrien County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.2%.
