Valdosta, Georgia is welcoming Prinsco's newest manufacturing hub, which is set to bring 40 jobs to the region by September 2024. The company's choice in Valdosta aims to serve the growing Southeast market and cater to the storm water, agriculture, residential, and onsite industries. As part of Prinsco’s expansion strategy, this facility will bolster their presence across the country.

The local community is eagerly anticipating the opportunities that come with such a major investment. According to a WCTV report, Andrea Schruijer, Executive Director, Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority was quoted as saying: "This brings a lot of opportunity for the people that live here and also for the region and those are high skilled, quality jobs that we are looking to bring into the community to hopefully provide different opportunities."

While this new venture provides employment prospects for locals, it also entails substantial infrastructural development. According to a WTXL report, Prinsco acquired an 80-acre site in Valdosta in early 2023 and plans to construct a 73,000 sq/ft facility equipped for four production lines of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polypropylene (PP) pipes, aiming to begin production by September 2024.

Beyond job creation and infrastructure development, this move expands Prinsco's footprint in terms of manufacturing capabilities. According to a WTXL report, Prinsco is set to establish its ninth manufacturing center in the United States with the Valdosta facility, aiming to serve various markets such as stormwater, agriculture, residential, and onsite industries. The company specializes in producing water management solutions including dual-wall pipe, single-wall pipe, stormwater chambers, onsite chambers, foundation drainage, along with a diverse range of fittings and accessories.

The arrival of Prinsco has been met with enthusiasm by local authorities as well. According to a WTXL report, Valdosta Mayor Scott James Matheson was quoted as saying: "Our community is thrilled to add Prinsco to its growing list of advanced manufacturing facilities. This new facility will produce jobs and boost the local economy. It also exemplifies Valdosta and Lowndes County's commitment to being a regional leader in the manufacturing industry."

In understanding Prinsco’s growth trajectory, it is worthwhile noting their humble beginnings. According to Prinsco, the company was established in 1975 and is a third-generation family-owned company that began as a manufacturer of cement pipe. The manufacturing facility in Prinsburg, Minnesota continues to operate and is a central part of the company's network of soon-to-be nine plants across the United States.
