It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Margot Pearlman, one of the catalysts behind the Pearlman Comprehensive Cancer Center in the early 90s. Margot, her husband Bill, her brother-in-law Sidney, and sister-in-law Dorothy Pearlman, made significant contributions to the SGMC Foundation. The cancer center was named for the Pearlmans in 1993.
Margot was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an active community member as part of the Crescent Valdosta Garden Center, the Book Review Club, the Turner Center for the Arts, Temple Israel, and the Hadassah Sisterhood. For many years, she volunteered with Break Bread Together.
We are so thankful for the support and service the Pearlmans gave to South Georgia Medical Center.
