Ben Hill County is considering applying to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of up to $1,000,000 (single activity) or $1,250,000 (multi-activity). These funds must be used to primarily benefit low and moderate income persons.
The activities for which these funds may be used are in the area of housing, public facilities, and economic development. More specific details will be provided at a public hearing, which will be held at 11:30 A.M. on March 30, 2023, at the Ben Hill County Courthouse Annex, 324 East Pine Street, Fitzgerald, GA 31750.
