Pine Grove Middle School's STEM Career Day | NDLA

744 students - that's how many Team Lowndes had the opportunity to meet with today at Pine Grove Middle School's STEM Career Day. Lowndes County Utilities, Lowndes County Fire Rescue & the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office - Valdosta, Georgia all participated and showcased their departments and what their teams do daily.
Students had the opportunity to learn where our local water comes from, the drinking water cycle, and how Lowndes County Utilities maintains 218 miles of water mains, 1,626 fire hydrants, and 220 miles of sewer mains. They've also learned about fire prevention & saw the inside of fire trucks as well as heard about careers in law enforcement.
We appreciate Pine Grove Middle School allowing us the opportunity to come out and be a part of the STEM Career Day.
