It's expected to get extremely cold over the next few days and through the Christmas weekend. Do the right thing and bring your pets inside! If you cannot bring them inside, make sure their shelter is adequate. Failure to provide adequate shelter is a violation of local ordinances and state law.
The Lowndes County Animal Shelter has hay bedding to put in outside pet kennels at the shelter. If you need some, please go by the shelter located at 337 Gil Harbin Industrial Blvd., and the hay bedding is located out front of the facility. Feel free to help yourself and bring something to put the hay in- first come, first serve.
