It's National Farmers Day!
Today is the day to recognize and honor hard working farmers and their contributions to our tables and our economy. Agriculture contributes approximately $69.4 billion annually to Georgia's economy, according to the UGA Center for Agribusiness & Economic Development.
Lowndes County is fortunate to have a strong agriculture industry and farmers whose hard work and dedication has benefited us all in terms of food sources for our livelihood along with their contributions to the economy.
