It’s Valdosta- Lowndes County Manufacturing Week!
The Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority kicked off recognition of Valdosta-Lowndes County Manufacturing Week, October 10-14, 2022, with a joint proclamation from Lowndes County and the City of Valdosta.
Lowndes County Commission Chairman Bill Slaughter & City of Valdosta Mayor Scott James Matheson presented the proclamation that encourages residents to discover the value manufacturing brings to the Valdosta and Lowndes County economy, where approximately 4,280 people are employed within the manufacturing industry. Valdosta-Lowndes County, Georgia’s manufacturing operations, such as automotive, agribusiness, food processing, and chemicals create local wealth by adding value to raw materials through the application of people skills and investment in tools, technology, and talent.
