School Closure Information

Atkinson County Community,
Based on the latest forecast model of Hurricane Ian and continued communication with local emergency management officials, Atkinson County Schools will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 29 and Friday, Sept. 30, along with all after-school and athletic programs. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we anticipate resuming school on Monday, Oct. 3.
We will continue to closely monitor the storm’s projected path and any potential effects here locally, and communicate updates through Infinite Campus, our district website, our Facebook page and our media partners. As always, please keep a watchful eye on weather-related updates from the Atkinson County Emergency Management Agency and National Weather Service in Jacksonville.
