Mrs. Johns' 3rd grade class has been learning all about globe skills. They've used balloons to mark the prime meridian and equator. Special shout out to Publix for donating the balloons for this activity. Lastly, they completed a task with a partner. They had to imagine that they were abducted by an alien by mistake. The alien wanted to take them back home but didn't know how to get there. The alien told them to create a map marking their home. The students asked for scissors, but the alien had no idea what those were. The only thing they could use were two sheets of paper, glue, and their hands, so the students chose their own partner and worked together to try to get back home to North America. Everyone did a great job working together and got home safely! #4theT
