Chronic Absenteeism

Chronic absenteeism has been on the rise in Georgia for the past decade, but the effects of the pandemic made measuring this indicator difficult. Absenteeism is correlated with negative academic outcomes, and solutions aren’t easy to pinpoint. Studies show that effective interventions involve both school and community resources and climates.
