Bacon County Elementary School issued the following announcement on March 9.

Thanks to all students who participated in the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition at Bacon Elementary.  The purpose of the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition is to encourage students to develop an enthusiasm for writing and to celebrate their writing successes. A committee selected an overall winner from each grade and the winning students are Grayson Smith (third grade), TeRoderick Adams (fourth grade), and Tymperance Hunter (fifth grade).  The winners will advance to the RESA-region competition. Congratulations to these students.
