Time Capsule and Bench Dedication Ceremony

Event Description:
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Thomasville’s “Voice of Business,” the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce plans for a Centennial Time Capsule that will celebrate life in Thomasville and Thomas County as we know it today. Community members are invited to contribute “messages to the future” to the time capsule. The time capsule is scheduled to be buried in front of the Chamber of Commerce building on S. Broad Street for 100 years and opened in 2121.
People of all ages who live in, work in, or feel a connection to this community are encouraged to write a message to the Thomasville and Thomas County citizens of the year 2121. These messages might include information on your life, what you like about living in Thomasville, memories of the community, or predictions of the future of Thomasville and Thomas County. Anyone writing a message to the future is encouraged to “Imagine Thomasville” as they see it in 100 years.
