Have You Heard About GRACE-Scholars?

Blessed Sacrament School recently issued the following announcement.

The season of giving is upon us. Have you ever thought about giving the gift of a Catholic education? You can do just that by donating to the G.R.A.C.E. scholarship.

What is the G.R.A.C.E. Scholarship?

The G.R.A.C.E. (Georgia Residents Assisting Children’s Education) Scholars, Inc. offers families the opportunity to access a faith based, academically strong, and community based Catholic school in the State of Georgia.

GRACE provides scholarships to children from families with financial need in grades PreK-12 for use at approved Catholic schools located in the State of Georgia.

To be eligible for a GRACE award, a student must be a resident of the state of Georgia and demonstrate financial need. The student is either entering a Catholic school for the first time at the second grade or above from a Georgia public school or a child eligible to enter first grade, kindergarten or an accredited pre-kindergarten program is eligible for GRACE.

Founded in 2008, the Grace Scholars program was the beloved initiative of then Archbishop Wilton Gregory from Atlanta, and then Bishop Gregory J. Hartmayer of Savannah.
