Coastal Pines Technical College issued the following announcement on Aug. 2.
Recently, the Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Radiologic Technology Program underwent an accreditation review process and passed with flying colors. The program has received continued accreditation for another eight years by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The continuing accreditation status of the associate degree radiography program sponsored by Coastal Pines Technical College was considered and awarded at the July 20, 2021 meeting of the JCERT.
The JRCERT is the only agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry. Specialized accreditation awarded by the JRCERT offers institutions significant value by providing peer evaluation and by assuring the public of quality professional education in the radiologic sciences.
