Census Bureau: 78 percent of people in Irwin County were old enough to vote in 2019

Of the 9,320 citizens living in Irwin County in 2019, 7,268 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 3,467 of those people were female and 3,801 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
