African American population in Scotland increased by 27 people between 2017 and 2018, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey.

Since 2010 the population has increased by 41 people.

The Georgia municipality that saw the largest population growth in the African American community between the same time period was Johns Creek.

The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing survey by the U.S. Census Bureau. It regularly gathers information previously contained only in the long form of the decennial census, such as ancestry, citizenship, educational attainment, income, language proficiency, migration, disability, employment, and housing characteristics.
