The South Georgia Ruck will return to Thomasville on November 22, 2025, aiming to support the mission of Vashti, a nonprofit serving youth and families in Southwest Georgia. The event is presented by Vashti in partnership with CrossFit Townie.
Scheduled from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Vashti’s main campus at 1815 E Clay Street, the ruck is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels. A ruck involves walking with weighted backpacks and is intended to promote both physical and mental wellness. Participants can choose their preferred level of difficulty.
Coach Toni Sisco, owner of CrossFit Townie, stated, “CrossFit Townie is honored to partner with Vashti again this fall. This event represents what our community is all about, supporting one another, showing up with purpose, and investing in the future of the kids who rely on Vashti’s programs.”
Registration for the event can be completed through a link available in CrossFit Townie’s social media bio. Donations are encouraged and can be made even by those unable to attend. More information about registration and donations is available at https://givebutter.com/s-ga-ruck-nov-22-2025 and govashti.org/sgaruck.
Vashti offers services such as residential care, educational support, therapeutic services, and wrap-around resources for children and families. The organization encourages community members to participate or donate to help expand these programs.
A representative from Vashti commented, “This event is an opportunity for our community to show up for local youth. Every step taken and every donation made allows us to continue providing essential support to the families we serve.”
Founded in 1903, Vashti provides behavioral health, educational, and residential services across South Georgia. CrossFit Townie operates as a fitness facility in Thomasville focused on improving health outcomes within a supportive environment.
