The House Study Committee on the State Board of Registration of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers & Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers is scheduled to hold its third meeting in Atlanta. The session will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 2 p.m. in room 606 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building.

This committee is chaired by State Representative John Corbett (R-Lake Park). It was created after House Resolution 558 was adopted during the 2025 legislative session. The committee’s purpose is to review whether oversight of the used motor vehicle industry should be handled by the same agency that issues license plates for these businesses.

Members of the public can find more information about the meeting and access a live stream online.

Burns, a Republican, has served as representative for Georgia’s 159th House District since his election in 2005. He succeeded Ray Holland in this position.

The meeting will involve members of the study committee and will focus on regulatory matters concerning used motor vehicle dealers and parts dealers in Georgia.
