The House Study Committee on the State Board of Registration of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers & Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers will hold its second meeting on September 9, 2025. The session is scheduled for 10 a.m. in room 606 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.

State Representative John Corbett (R-Lake Park) serves as chair of the committee. The group was created after House Resolution 558 passed during the 2025 legislative session. Its purpose is to examine whether regulation of the used motor vehicle industry should be managed by the same agency that issues license plates required for business operations.

Members of the public can find more information about the study committee and access a live stream through this link.

Jon G. Burns, who has served as a Republican member of the Georgia State House since 2005, represents the state’s 159th House District, succeeding Ray Holland. More details about his election are available at https://www.legis.ga.gov/members/house/74?session=1029.

The meeting will bring together members of the committee to discuss regulatory matters affecting used motor vehicle dealers and parts dealers in Georgia.
