Back Porch Realty and Southern Comfort Homes have announced their expansion into Boston and Thomas County, Georgia. The companies are introducing a relationship-focused approach to real estate, emphasizing legacy, education, and community impact.

The move to Boston is described as both strategic and personal for the organizations. With over 50 years of family ties in the area, they aim to build on this longstanding connection by contributing to growth and opportunity within the community. According to Jackie Rogers, Owner of Back Porch Realty and Southern Comfort Homes, “Boston represents a place where tradition and forward-thinking progress intersect. Our goal is to honor our family legacy while introducing a real estate experience built on trust, comfort, and meaningful relationships.”

Back Porch Realty focuses on local market expertise with an emphasis on education and transparency for buyers and sellers. Southern Comfort Homes offers housing solutions with support through the home selection process. Together, they provide services that go beyond typical real estate transactions.

The companies offer a range of housing options across Thomasville, Boston, and Thomas County—serving single-family homebuyers, first-time buyers, workforce housing needs, move-up buyers, rural properties, and investors. They also help clients connect with local lenders, inspectors, contractors, insurance providers, as well as information about schools and neighborhood amenities.

To support community development efforts in the region—which aligns with broader goals like those of the Thomas and Thomasville Chamber—Back Porch Realty and Southern Comfort Homes will host homebuyer and seller workshops starting February 14, 2026. These events will be held every other month on Saturdays with a focus on workforce housing education.

In addition to providing housing services, both companies plan to support local businesses by promoting access to jobs and connecting people with employment resources in an effort to strengthen the local economy.

Ribbon cuttings for the new office represent important milestones for Back Porch Realty and Southern Comfort Homes. “These moments remind us why we do what we do,” Rogers said. “They energize us to continue serving our clients and neighbors with excellence.”

Looking ahead, the organizations plan further expansion into both real estate sales and manufactured homes while enhancing educational programming for buyers and sellers. Their vision includes developing communities that prioritize comfort as well as supporting economic growth through expanded housing access.
